How does First Desktop Banker work?
First Desktop Banker comes with easy to use hardware and software to electronically scan and deposit your checks. The check scanning hardware creates an electronic image of your customers’ checks throughout the day. After successfully scanning your checks, you stimply upload your check images to First National Bank for deposit into your account.
Do I need to keep my customers’ original check copies?
Original checks should be stored in a safe location for 14 days. After the waiting time has passed, all original checks must be destroyed.
What should I do if I need a copy of a customer’s check?
Check images are stored for up to 45 days on the First Desktop Banker online system. These images can easily be accessed by logging on to First Desktop Banker’s online image research and retrieval system, available 24/7 through our secure website.
If you require a copy of a check that is more than 45 days old, it is available from the Bank for up to 7 years.
How secure is First Desktop Banker?
First Desktop Banker features the latest encryption technology and multi-level password protection to ensure the safety and security of your customers’ checks.

How do I know if a check has insufficient funds or a stop payment?
You will be notified of insufficient funds or stop payment on a check.
