Relief for Businesses

Paycheck Protection Program1

New Paycheck Protection Program Applications:
At this time, FNB is no longer accepting applications as we focus on processing the previously submitted applications. We will continue to assess our ability to accept and process new applications based on the evolving status of the Paycheck Protection Program.

Status of a Previously Submitted Application:
If you have already submitted an application, contact your FNB Banker directly to discuss the status of your application and to determine if you need to provide any additional documentation. Please do not set up an appointment online for this purpose. Also, we ask that you do not call your branch or the Customer Service Center regarding your PPP loan status as they will not be able to assist you.

If You Have a PPP Loan:
If you have been approved for a PPP loan, your loan proceeds must be distributed into an FNB checking account.

About The Program:
The Paycheck Protection Program is a major component of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act which provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses. The loans may be forgiven if small business borrowers maintain their payrolls or restore the number of employees and/or salaries affected by the crisis by June 30, 2020. Review the SBA's guide for calculating the maximum loan amount by type of business.Redirect icon

SBA Eligibility Clarifications:
On April 24, 2020, the Small Business Administration (SBA) issued a new Interim Final Rule addressing various requirements related to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Specifically, the SBA clarified a provision in the new rule regarding borrower eligibility and a borrower's certification concerning the need for a PPP loan request. Please also review this important information regarding the government audit of PPP loans in excess of $2 million.

About Loan Forgiveness

FNB is developing an online forgiveness application where you will be able to safely and securely enter the required information and upload supporting documentation. Until the application is available, and the SBA begins accepting forgiveness applications, we recommend that you review the SBA’s PPP Loan Forgiveness Instructions and Application in advance of the end of your Covered Period so that you are prepared when our online application launches. The SBA’s PPP Loan Forgiveness Instructions and Application can be found on the SBA’s website. While we understand that you will be eager for the forgiveness process to begin, please do not send us a paper application or supporting documentation at this time. We will announce when the online application is available for use. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

If you have additional questions concerning PPP loan forgiveness eligibility, we recommend that you continue to check the SBA PPP home page as well as the Treasury Department PPP home page as information is updated on a regular basis. As a Borrower under this program, it is your obligation to stay informed of the latest guidance from the Treasury and the SBA related to this program.
