James R. Gonsman Promoted To Vice President Of Commercial Banking For First National Bank

Bedford, PA – May 27, 2010-- First National Bank recently announced the promotion of James R. Gonsman to Vice President of Commercial Banking. He is responsible for developing and managing new business opportunities and maintaining an existing portfolio of clients in the Bank’s Central Mountain Region. Based in Bedford, PA, Gonsman reports to Senior Vice President and Regional Manager, Greg Winger.

Gonsman began his career with First National Bank in 1998 as Assistant Vice President of Commercial Banking. Prior to joining First National Bank, Gonsman worked for an economic development agency as a commercial lender.  A graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and the Centre Business School in State College, Gonsman earned his commercial lending certification at Bucknell Univeristy. 

Active in the community, Gonsman serves as First Vice President of Bedford Sunrise Rotary, Treasurer of UPMC Bedford Memorial, Vice Chairman on Downtown Bedford, Inc. and is a Board Member of Bedford Area Ambulance. He is also a Committee Member for the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce and an Advisory Board Member for the Community Foundation for Alleghenies.

Gonsman is a native of Hollidaysburg, has resided in Bedford for the past 19 years with his wife, Angie and two children, Jamie & Ava.
