First National Bank Supports Westmoreland County Shop Demo Depot
Contribution to Westmoreland Community Action Helps Fund Eco-friendly Social Enterprise

Greensburg, PA – April 25, 2012 – First National Bank, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corporation (NYSE :FNB) recently made a contribution of $10,000 to Westmoreland Community Action which, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Neighborhood Assistance Program, developed Shop Demo Depot as a means of funding services for low-income residents.

First National Bank’s contribution helped Westmoreland Community Action (WCA) purchase and renovate a Mount Pleasant, PA building and transform it into Shop Demo Depot, an eco-friendly building material recycling enterprise in Westmoreland County.

According to Bruce Austin, Senior Vice President and Business Banking Manager with First National Bank, “Shop Demo Depot provides a unique reuse business that creates and sustains green jobs for residents in an economically distressed area. First National Bank is proud to be a part of this project which ultimately helps strengthen the local community.”

Tay Waltenbaugh, Chief Executive Officer, Westmoreland Community Action, notes that Shop Demo Depot is an example of true partnership in community action. “This project represents the efforts of four southwestern Pennsylvania counties that have partnered to bring real solutions to struggling families. First National Bank’s financial backing is an important component of the success of Shop Demo Depot and a valuable contribution to our communities.”

The Shop Demo Depot, scheduled to open on Friday, April 27, is a retail outlet for used building materials. Area businesses and manufacturers can make tax-deductible donations of surplus and reusable building materials from new construction, remodeling or demolition projects rather than discarding the materials. Homeowners, remodelers and builders can find low cost materials, and all proceeds benefit the Community Action Agency in Westmoreland County.

Since 1980, Westmoreland Community Action has helped struggling families improve their standard of living and become more self-sufficient by providing housing services, emergency assistance, mental health programs, employment programs, child development services and more.
