First National Bank Hot Air Balloon Takes New Look to Skies
FNB Balloon Continues History as Longest Consecutive Running Commercial Balloon in World

Hermitage, PA – May 22, 2012 – Residents of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio should keep an eye on the sky this week. That’s because the newly revamped First National Bank hot air balloon will take its maiden flights, introducing a whole new look for a balloon that has been identified as the longest consecutive running balloon in the world.

The First National Bank Hot Air Balloon will be transported to and from take-off and landing destinations in a customized FNB trailer that features views of the FNB Hot Air Balloon as well as a custom QR code. Anyone who spots the FNB trailer can use a smart phone to take a picture of the QR code and learn more details about the FNB Hot Air Balloon, its upcoming schedule and special promotions.

The FNB Hot Air Balloon is a reincarnation of the Parkvale Balloon, the longest consecutive running commercial balloon in the world. First National Bank’s decision to keep the balloon flying after the Bank’s merger with Parkvale Bank in January 2012, continues a rich hot air balloon history.

According to First National Bank President John Williams, the FNB Hot Air Balloon is just one more way the Bank can support community organizations. “As a community bank, First National Bank’s focus has always been to support what’s happening locally. The FNB Hot Air Balloon helps draw attention to community events, and we’re pleased to contribute to local efforts in this way.”

First National Bank has already committed to tether the FNB Hot Air Balloon at a full schedule of community events across the Bank’s 45-county presence in 2012. Learn more at https://www.fnb-online.com/balloon.
