HIGHMARK STADIUM ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF PENNSYLVANIA

Pittsburgh, Pa. (September 12, 2012) First National Bank of Pennsylvania signed an agreement with Highmark Stadium last week for a sponsorship at Pittsburgh’s newest downtown multi-sport and entertainment venue.

“First National Bank has been instrumental in the establishment of Highmark Stadium,” said Jason Kutney, CEO of the Riverhounds. “Like Highmark, Trib Total Media, and #1 Cochran, we have found an excellent partner in First National Bank.”

Vincent J. Delie, Jr., CEO of First National Bank, added, “Our sponsorship is an example of FNB’s commitment to support the communities where we conduct business. We’re proud to help provide a terrific venue that will showcase the Riverhounds.”

First National Bank, established in 1864, has grown into the fourth largest Pennsylvania-based bank and a leading provider of commercial and retail banking, commercial leasing, wealth management, insurance, merchant banking and consumer finance services. Headquartered in Hermitage, Pa., First National Bank maintains a strong community focus. The Bank provides quality customer service and sophisticated products and services to the residents and businesses of Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and West Virginia through a network of more than 260 bank offices across 45 counties.

In 2011, F.N.B. Corporation, the parent company of First National Bank, acquired Parkvale Bank, further expanding its Pittsburgh presence. First National Bank now holds the number three retail deposit market share rank in the Pittsburgh metropolitan statistical area.

The First National Bank Hot Air Balloon, a reincarnation of the former Parkvale Balloon, will be a unique feature of First National Bank’s sponsorship of Highmark Stadium. Patrons visiting the Stadium, as well as traffic passing through the area surrounding Station Square, will see the First National Bank Hot Air Balloon on a regular basis, whether in flight or tethered in the vicinity of the Stadium.

First National Bank’s involvement with Highmark Stadium goes beyond their sponsorship. In June, First National Bank approved a $1.6 million loan, which is being used for construction costs.

“As a privately financed project, we truly appreciate the support of First National Bank and the other partners of Highmark Stadium,” said Kutney.

Most of the sponsorship opportunities are sold out at Highmark Stadium. For more information on any available sponsorships, please call (412) 539-1191, or visit www.highmarkstadium.com.

About the Pittsburgh Riverhounds
Founded in 1999 as a member of the United Soccer Leagues’ A-League, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds have brought elite soccer to Western Pennsylvania and are the only pro soccer team in the Tri-State Area. The Riverhounds recruit players from top programs around the country and the world. Since established, the Riverhounds have not had an official home field and have played at CONSOL Energy Stadium in Washington, Pa as well as a handful of local high schools around the area. In 2007, the team obtained new ownership and began to develop a presence in the area. During this same year, the Riverhounds brokered a relationship with Everton Football Club of England to create a developmental program for youth soccer players. The Riverhounds Academy has grown in participation, programming, and value and has proved to be a soccer Academy where young players are trained by the professionals. The growth of the Academy in the area has been a catalyst for the new stadium. During the fall of 2010, the Riverhounds joined the USL PRO Division created by the United Soccer Leagues. The division sits just below Major League Soccer in the United States and will serve as a stepping stone for players looking to jump to the next level.

The Riverhounds team is currently building its new home, Highmark Stadium, in Station Square. Highmark Stadium will be open for business later this year.
