First National Bank | 2023 Corporate Responsibility Report

2023 corporate responsibility Report Physical Presence and Operations During the past several years, we consolidated operations into modern, environmentally friendly facilities in Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro, NC — building on a regional headquarters model already in place in Pittsburgh, PA, Baltimore, MD, and Cleveland and Youngstown, OH. When FNB Financial Center is complete, we will operate approximately 200,000 square feet of LEED-qualified space in large part because of this initiative. In 2022, as part of our ongoing energy efficiency process, we invested in properties throughout our footprint. For example, we installed nearly 1,650 LED lights as part of a project to refresh 50 FNB branches, reducing lighting energy consumption by 70 percent, with more than 380 additional LED lights in new construction. Complementing our increasing focus on energy efficiency, we signed an agreement with Summit Ridge Energy to subscribe to a community solar project in Maryland. In this model, we pay Summit Ridge for a portion of the power generated from their solar farm and receive credit on our electricity bills for the energy produced. This agreement allows FNB to lower our retail electricity costs while supporting the state of Maryland to achieve their renewable energy objectives and develop local community solar assets. 28 FNB Tower-Charlotte, NC 55 Public Square in Cleveland, OH
