Learn more about the PPP Forgiveness Program. Last Updated: March 21, 2023
The Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is designed to assist small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic by covering costs related to payroll and certain other expenses. The SBA has indicated that PPP funding has been exhausted. As a result, we are no longer accepting PPP loan applications. For additional information regarding PPP, please visit the SBA website.
FNB is currently accepting applications for PPP forgiveness. Keep in mind that all loan applications must be submitted through the Portal. Paper-based applications will not be accepted.
In the third quarter of 2021, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that customers with a PPP loan of $150,000 or less may apply for forgiveness through a portal designed by the SBA. Lenders that participate in the SBA’s forgiveness portal are still required to review and make forgiveness decisions for their borrowers and submit them to the SBA. Due to the fact that FNB already has a fully digital forgiveness portal and we want to ensure our borrowers experience an easy-to-use and convenient forgiveness application process, all of our PPP borrowers are required to apply for forgiveness through the existing FNB Forgiveness Portal.
Thank you for choosing FNB. We understand the impact of your loan’s forgiveness on your business and we appreciate the trust you have placed in FNB to serve your financial needs.
Borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness. FNB's Online PPP Loan Portal is open for forgiveness applications for borrowers who received a PPP loan through FNB and who have not yet submitted a forgiveness application for their Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan.
You have until 10 months after your covered period to apply for forgiveness before loan payments commence. For more details about your forgiveness eligibility, please visit the SBA website or work with your attorney or accountant. Forgiveness Application:
Although PPP loans are funded by the SBA through the CARES Act, the loans are provided through First National Bank. Borrowers will work directly with FNB regarding forgiveness applications. The SBA will not contact you directly to sign or submit documents. All SBA requests for information will come through FNB.
