Eligibility: Open to owners of commercial property and businesses located in the Greenville Commercial Historic District (Downtown Greenville) in Pennsylvania.
Grant Amount: $50,000 maximum grant award
Scope of Work: Exterior improvements to the building façade to enhance its historic character. Eligible activities include masonry repairs/repointing, new signage, awnings, painting and other storefront improvements as deemed appropriate by Pittsburgh History & Landmarks (PHLF) and FNB.
Application Process: Interested parties should complete an application. Representatives from PHLF will work with the Applicant to establish a mutually agreed on scope of work and construction specifications. Applicant will collect two (2) bids for the scope of work from qualified contractors. Execute grant contract and construction payment schedule.
All work must be in compliance with local building codes and obtain necessary permits from the Borough of Greenville.
An Owner's Affidavit will be required if Applicant is not the Building Owner.
Funds are limited. Not all Applicants will receive a grant.
