Biography:

Roberto Mendez serves as a Community Homeownership Specialist for First National Bank (FNB) in North Carolina and South Carolina. ln this role, he has responsibility for promoting homeownership and community outreach – connecting individuals and groups with educational resources, products and services that drive awareness to FNB’s affordable mortgage programs.

Mendez joined First National Bank in 2024, with more than 16 years’ experience in mortgage lending, beginning at the Latino Community Credit Union in 2008. He is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science.

He volunteers his time serving on the Latin American Coalition’s Finance Committee and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals’ Charlotte, NC, Chapter.
