Biography:

Richard Wood Morgan, Jr. serves as a Mortgage Banking Consultant for First National Bank. In this role, he has responsibility for originating residential mortgage loans – including purchase, construction/renovation and refinance options – for clients in the Triangle Area of North Carolina and beyond.

Morgan joined First National Bank in 2025, with more than 15 years’ experience in mortgage lending. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

As a co-founder and current board member for the non-profit organization Christian Coalition to End Poverty Now, Morgan volunteers his time directing at-need community members to resources that promote job training, financial literacy, and the path to homeownership and affordable housing.
