Submitting a Request

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants consumers and employees who are California residents with certain rights regarding their personal information. FNB will respond to requests pending verification of identity or proof of authorization for requests made by an individual on behalf of the consumer or employee.

Retrieving data: FNB will return your customer information subject to CCPA exceptions.

Deleting data: It’s important for you to know that we may not be able to delete your data if you are a current customer or regulatory obligations require us to retain your data for a defined period of time. Per CCPA regulations, FNB will maintain a record of the deletion request.

Correcting data: For the quickest and most convenient way to update or correct your personal information, please sign into your Online Banking account, call 1-800-555-5455 or visit a local branch. A representative will be glad to assist you.

Types of Authorities and Acceptable Documents

Written Authorization Signed by the Consumer

A signed and dated letter or authorization form from the consumer, naming the agent and describing the scope of authority (i.e., that agent may submit CCPA requests on their behalf).

Power of Attorney (POA)

A signed and dated letter or authorization form from the consumer, naming the agent and describing the scope of authority (i.e., that the agent may submit CCPA requests on their behalf).

Parent or Legal Guardian of a Minor

For a parent: a copy of the minor's birth certificate showing the requestor as parent or equivalent proof of parentage.
For a legal guardian: a copy of the court order or letters of guardianship appointing the requester a guardian.

Conservator / Court Appointed Representative

A copy of the court order, letters of conservatorship or letters of appointment (e.g., letters testamentary/of administration for a deceased consumer's estate representative) establishing the requester's authority over the consumer or the consumer's estate.

Other

Any documentation that describes the relationship and the legal instruments which support it.
Copies of appropriate legal documents are acceptable.
