In Person
Find a local branch near you to make your mortgage payment in person.
Please note that FNB does not have a biweekly payment option for first mortgage loans.
Please be sure to take the following steps related to your homeowners insurance and flood insurance (if applicable):
If you choose to change insurance companies, you have chosen to pay your property taxes and insurance yourself, rather than having FNB pay them for you through an escrow account,* or you live in a condominium, please send your proof of insurance (and condominium master policies, if applicable) on an annual basis to the insurance center using the above instructions. This will prove coverage is in place and avoid force placement of an insurance policy.
* An escrow account is maintained by your loan servicer to collect funds for property taxes and/or homeowners insurance and pay those expenses on your behalf when they are due.
FNB makes every attempt to collect your tax bill from your taxing authorities. Due to privacy restrictions, many of these authorities will only send the tax bill to the homeowner.
When you receive your tax card/bill for your real estate taxes, please submit your bill to FNB’s Mortgage Servicing Department to ensure payment is made at a discount. Tax cards/bills can be emailed to escrowedtaxbills@fnb-corp.com.
If you have an escrow account, it is reviewed annually to ensure that your monthly mortgage payment is collecting the appropriate funds to cover your property taxes and insurance premiums. Your monthly payment may rise or fall due to adjustments in taxes or insurance, which can result in an escrow shortage or overage.
Annual Escrow Analysis Statement
Escrow analyses are prepared approximately 50 days before your payment change date. If you are enrolled in electronic statements and notices, you will receive an email notification when your escrow analysis is available to review. If you receive statements and notices by mail, a copy of the analysis will be sent to the mailing address associated with your account.
Your Annual Escrow Analysis Statement provides you with a detailed breakdown of these changes and how they affect your escrow account. To avoid payment shortages, late charges or delinquency, review the escrow analysis carefully and take any necessary action regarding the upcoming payment adjustment.
Options to help avoid payment shortages and late payments following an escrow adjustment:
To avoid a payment increase, you have three options to pay the shortage amount:
Otherwise, the shortage amount will be divided over the next 12 months and that portion will be added to your regularly scheduled payment. If you pay just the shortage, your payments may still increase. You will need to pay both the increase amount plus the shortage to avoid an increase.
Watch our Understanding Escrow video to learn more about how escrow works.
Year End Tax Forms: Form 1098 (Mortgage Interest Statement) is mailed each year no later than January 31.
