- Pittsburgh, PA
Just before dawn on July 4, 2026, The American Legion representatives David Heredia and Kenneth George presented F.N.B. Corporation Chairman, President and CEO Vincent Delie with a commemorative American Flag from the National Flag Foundation's Sojourn 250 initiative, honoring the Company’s significant support.
Sojourn 250 was a year-long journey of a single American Flag throughout all 50 states, U.S. territories and international U.S. military cemeteries. The presentation at FNB’s corporate headquarters took place minutes before a convoy of hundreds of American Legion motorcyclists departed Downtown Pittsburgh for Washington, D.C., carrying the official Sojourn 250 Flag on the last leg of its journey to join the nation’s semiquincentennial anniversary celebration.
Pittsburgh served as the home of the final full chapter of Sojourn250, hosting a series of community events honoring the people, places and moments that helped shape the nation — from southwestern Pennsylvania’s role in the American Revolution, to its industrial heritage, to its ongoing leadership in innovation, technology and healthcare. More than 40 organizations, government agencies and businesses collaborated to bring the celebrations to life.
In addition to sponsoring Sojourn 250, FNB served as the sole sponsor of Light to Unite, the National Flag Foundation's July 4 initiative that illuminated landmarks and gathering places throughout the U.S. as a visible reminder of the unity, freedom and opportunity represented by the American Flag.
FNB's support of both programs reflects the Company's commitment to the ideals the American Flag represents, including service, sacrifice, freedom, opportunity and respect. During the nation’s 250th anniversary, FNB was honored to help celebrate the shared history and enduring values that continue to unite communities across the country.
