FNB Mobile Banking with Touch ID
First National Bank Introduces Touch ID for iPhone 5s or later
Now you can easily check your balance, protect your debit cards with CardGuard or find a branch with just a touch of your finger!
CONVENIENCE BANKING FOR YOU.
Touch ID allows FNB Mobile Banking app users with eligible iPhones to log in to the FNB Mobile Banking app with their fingerprint instead of using their Password. Touch ID is a faster, more convenient way to securely log in to the FNB app for iPhone users.
Enjoy Faster Mobile Banking Access with Touch ID
To use Mobile Banking, simply search for “FNB Direct” in the App Store and then log in with your Online Banking User ID and Password. You can also visit the “Alerts & Mobile Banking” tab in FNB Online Banking to learn more about Mobile Banking at FNB.
Touch ID is one of the most secure authentication methods to use because no two fingerprints are alike! Additionally, your iPhone never shares your actual fingerprint image with the Mobile Banking app so we do not have record of your actual fingerprint image. Instead, we use a unique mathematical representation of your fingerprint to authenticate your identity. For added security, any transactions which result in money moving outside of your FNB account will require you to enter your Password
Once you have established the Touch ID service on your iPhone, log in to the FNB mobile Banking and enable the service by selecting Touch ID in the Services tab. After the feature is enabled, subsequent access to the app can be accomplished with fingerprint authentication.
It’s important to note that when users enable Touch ID, any fingerprint stored on the device can be used to log in to the FNB Direct app. If changes are made to the Touch ID settings on the customer’s phone (such as adding a new fingerprint), Touch ID will be disabled and the customer will be required to login with their Mobile Banking Password to ensure the security of their account
Touch ID is available for customers who have an Apple iPhone 5s or higher. If a customer is not sure whether or not they have a supported device they can visit the Apple web page for assistance. Alternatively, the customer can update to the newest version of the app. If they have a supported device the customer will see “Touch ID” in the app. Otherwise the customer will not see “Touch ID” as an available feature.
FNB Direct is available to all Online Banking customers and is free to install. To use Mobile Banking, simply download the app from the App Store or Google Play store and use your existing Online Banking User ID and Password to log in. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. System availability and response time are subject to market conditions.
